Vino Vino is central Austin’s answer to a good wine bar.  This spot is cozy and big and has a great back patio with heaters.  The wine bar competition in this town is huge with the opening of Mulberry, Wine House, Cru, Cork & Co, Uncorked, etc… but the convenience of parking at Vino Vino avoids all the annoyances of downtown parking the others face.  The retail portion opens at 11am daily but starting at 6, the wine bar and kitchen start serving.  The huge menu includes dishes such as tagliatelle, scallops, dark chocolate torte, and mussels and fries.  Vino Vino is definitely a great locally owned mom & pop shop you should head to this weekend.

the college slacker says: my girlfriend loves this place and so do I because they have fireman’s 4 on the menu and a ridiculous bison slider.

the spoiled brat says: Great addition to the Hyde Park neighborhood.  I never get sick of this place.
