Taste Select Wines is a wine retail and eatery in downtown Austin.    Although Austin is abundant with wine bars, Taste’s menu is a force to be reckoned with.  At lunch and dinner, enjoy such gourmet fare as Chicken Confit or Pan-fried Lamb Sweetbreads.  Taste is always putting on special dinners and free wine tastings.  One such special is Tuesday’s 2-mini burgers & fries and a big glass of red wine for $16.  Not bad!  As for the retail side, wine can be purchased in store or online.  Although you must pick up online purchases onsite because of TABC laws, in store purchases can be delivered via concierge.
