Alt-glam-rock trio, Nico Vega (pictured), plays a fiery show outside Emo’s in support of their new self-titled album. Compare lead singer, Aja Volkman, to Janis Joplin or Patti Smith. Volkman and her group have claimed influences from “any artist who is not scared to be great…anybody who is a lion at heart”. This is rock and roll in its most genuine form.

TV on the Radio and Harlem (pictured) play once more at Stubb’s, but my choice is Prince Paul with Zeale 32, Richard Henry and comedian Doug Mellard over at Lambert’s. The eccentrically hilarious hip-hop legend from De-La-Soul will sell this show out, so get yo’ tickets early.
