Austin City Limits will have a double taping with newcomer Esperanza Spalding (pictured) followed by French-American chanteuse Madeleine Peyroux on Tuesday, June 16, starting at 8 p.m.  They will be giving away 75 pair (150 total) of Space Available tickets.  To get them, go here.  Enter between now and June 12th.

I won a space-available ticket for Andrew Bird over SXSW and this is how it works.  They pass out line numbers outside the UT communications building at 5pm for the show and you will use those line numbers to line up again around 7.  For the line to get a number, we got there around 3:30 and handed them our email saying we won a space available spot, in exhange, they handed us around #46, then we went to Hole in the Wall, had some cocktails, and lined up again around 7.  For Andrew Bird about 55 were let into the taping but it just depends on the show popularity.  Definitely go early to get the line number or you probably wont get in.  It’s an all day event but definitely worth it!  These tapings are priceless and a piece of history.
