Frank again! Yup twice in so many weeks, as I first wrote about here. I made a repeat visit after winning a gift certificate from Tastytouring, thanks Jodi! Not to mention, the food is damn good. Frank serves artisan sausage, read: classy, in a casual setting in Austin’s warehouse district. Each day there will be two hot dog specials in addition to the regular menu. The interior is a work in progress but since the owner is a partner in the Decoder Ring design firm I’m sure it’ll be amazing upon completion. Eventually, they are adding a old-fashioned meat market and general store in the back where Starlite’s private dining use to be. Remember, this is a hot dog place and the menu is heavy, be prepared to take a nap after. Or, swear off eating altogether.
The Jackalope, too much compote and certainly a no-no on a first date or hell even in public

It stays open late which is nice after downtown but I would never drive here just to eat. Downtown parking is a pain in my ass and they don't have a parking lot. More convenient for the daytime business folk.
Spoiled Brat
Blortness. After I eat here do me a favor and shoot me. Is there anything healthy on this menu?
