Zoes, which means Life in Greek, is opening their first location in town in Austin’s Arboretum Development. Opening Wednesday, October 7th, Zoe’s serves Mediterranean style food somewhere in the middle of the Greek and Italian food spectrum. Zoes began in Birmingham by Zoe Cassimus, with the foundation of a healthy Mediterranean diet. Expect fresh vegetables, chicken, olive oils, and feta cheese in just about every menu item. This is the perfect spot for lunch if you work in North Austin or for the busy mom who needs catering for a healthy family dinner for 4. We enjoyed everything but the Pita bread, which the owner said would be replaced by their usual brand by opening day. I enjoyed maybe the best Greek Salad I’ve ever had due to the crispy Green Peppers, abundance of Feta Cheese, and fresh cucumbers. As Aahhnold says, ‘I’ll be back.’

Ate there last night… it was good. I had the shrimp kabob. Everything was good, but I have to say my fave thing was the greek salad. But I’m kind of a freak about salads…
