This is the last week to sign up for Farm House Delivery’s seasonal membership. Farmhouse Delivery is the brainchild of local food advocate and chef Elizabeth Winslow and East Austin farm owner Stepahnie Scherzer. The service, which operates out of East Austin’s Rain Lily Farm, offers home delivery of local produce, meats, dairy, beverages, and pantry items. The weekly ($35) or bi-weekly ($37) farm membership subscription lasts 8 weeks and runs Nov. 2-Dec. 21. Each bushel delivery includes ten types of vegetables of in season produce such as beets, green beans, apples, and corn. Additional items like Richardson Farms Ribeye Steak grass fed beef or Full Quiver Colby cheese can be added on to each delivery. If you don’t have the time/energy to visit Austin’s abundant farmer’s markets, this is the best option. Eating local means enjoying better tasting and higher quality food, health benefits, and a smaller carbon footprint. Sign up here.
