my son and I were visiting from Houston and just happened upon Man Bites Dog. He actually tried a new dog (he is usually a plain dog kinda boy) but he was raving about how good it was so I have to give props for winning his heart. I loved the bread…and having a real beef dog makes all the difference in the world. We came around early evening and the lights were on in the trees, fire pit going and candles on the tables…..it was great to see children playing and dogs hanging out with their families….I will def. visit again next time I’m strolling through.

All in all a great experience!

Once you said Kolache bread, my mouth started to water…I’m definitely eating there for dinner!

Thanks for the kind words, I’m glad you liked the dogs. To me, our bread is a big part of what makes us special. The buns are actually kolache buns made every couple of days by the Kolache Shoppe on north Burnet.

We hope to see you back to try more dogs.

I am the same way about hot dogs! I have been to Frank’s and while its tasty, I always walk out of there not feeling my best. Man Bites Dog is a little easier to digest and the bread is ridiculously good.

i’m mostly vegetarian, but sometimes…and this is embarrassing…i really crave hot dogs. i have to visit this place.
