Another weekend in Houston!  Check out some great pictures from Hotel Zaza, Little Bigs, Ninfa’s on Navigation, Saint Arnold’s Brewery, and D’Amico’s.

Lamp Lollipops from Hotel Zaza

To see pictures of Houston:

Rock Shrimp.  On Thursdays, Hotel Zaza has neighborhood appreciation night with $5 select appetizers and wine.  How my boyfriend manages to spend $80 for two of us is insane.

Sashimi Plate, for $14, this fish was certainly sliced thin!  Never again!

I have a Friday tradition in Houston to have lunch at Little Bigs with my BFF Kelsey.  Carmelized onion and cheese on a beef slider is one of my faves.  They also have a Black Bean and a Chicken version.  Little Bigs was written about in the Times last week here.

Of course, Kels and I enjoy a wine lunch.  Something about wine with my girls is a favorite of mine.

Dip these fries in the special sauce (basically thousand island) and you might need a nap after lunch!

Ninfa’s on Navigation is a favorite of most Houstonites I know.  Super good fajitas and mangoritas.  Austin had a Ninfa’s that shut down (it was awful), but this location is way different and better.

On Saturday we headed to Saint Arnold Brewery, which becomes a beer hall from 11am to 3pm.

When you walk in the door (after waiting in line for a bit), they hand you a stemless champagne glass with 4 bottle caps in it, for $7/person.  Each bottle cap is worth a refill.  We didn’t want to waste a cap on the dinky cups so we purchased these pint glasses for $9 each.

The crew

The place is packed and super loud.  The picnic tables fill up fast so we grabbed a spot on the ground.  People bring games, food, and friends.  The owners says he is working on the acoustics so they can have live music in the near future.

Angel Hair Diavolo.  Last meal of the weekend was a quick pasta dinner before the Superbowl at D’amico’s in Rice Village.
